He's a talented fighter, he just won't get a lotta props until he steps his game up by takin on top fighters. Now that he's got a belt he's got the opportunity to make some fans for himself, but if he stays protected fans will **** on him.

I think Berto vs Steve Forbes is a decent matchup. Berto will make a big statement if he knocks Forbes out.

why?forbes looks fat at 147 and is to slow at that weight this is a televised sparring session

I'm not sure about his chin but I definitely look forward to watching him fight. Berto has as much snap in his punches as anyone in boxing.

He had (has) huge lapses in defense. I don't know, I've never been to impressed. Abner Mares is probably my favorite prospect right now. He needs to work on his D too.

I think the welterweight division's future belongs to Williams and/or Berto

agreed but how long will williams be able to stay under the welter limit. that'll be the only downfall of williams at welter I think. otherwise he beats everybody.

I think we as boxing fans should recognize these great young prospects, embrace them and support them as much as we can so that they can flourish into great stars. cuz if we don't, as Joe Rogan once said "the famous ppl that you have right now are the only famous ppl that boxing is gonna have for the future. the dlh's the hopkins the guys that were already famous before the UFC came along. There will be no new ones."
