how is it hypocrisy?
I have love for all the fighters I mentioned but fact of the matteris that hatton has no skills compare to the likes of Cotto. It would be like fighting mayweather but end faster cause cotto hits harder. I dot think Cotto is great but he is by far a better more skilled and talented fighter than Hatton. Hatton throws 2-3 punches and hugs. He belongs on dancing with the stars as much as he hugs and caresses his opponents.

The hypocrisy is you complaining that people are writing off Cotto after 1 loss.

Yet Hatton has only got 1 loss and it was to the best pound for pound fighter in the world yet you call him a "bum".

No it wouldnt be like the Mayweather fight because Cotto doesn't have the defense of Mayweather and it shows with the punishmebnt he takes. I'm not going to say Hatton would win because I don't think he would. But it would be much tougher than many of you are making it out to be. Hatton is no bum but I know why many of you say that. I don't need to point it out either lol.

I am a massive hatton fan and ive always thought cotto was all wrong for him, at 140 if hatton made it passed round 6 he would have a decent chance, but at 147 he has no chance, cotto is a fluent combination puncher tszyu is not, although they both get flustered when put under pressure, cotto is still better on the inside, cotto has a better defence, and much better defensive movment then tszyu who is flat footed.

Cotto hits much harder than hatton, and probably takes a better shot especially to the body, where hatton was exposed during the Urango fight, and against mayweather where he was visibly hurt by body shots, and cotto is a better and harder body puncher than both of them.

The key point above all else is that I think cotto can match hatton for physical strength, and when thats the case with hatton he struggles, against someone like cotto he would get murdered by accurate combinations.

I agree this thread especially the guy that started it is just trying to elevate mayweather's status

Hatton has been going downhill since about the Tszyu fight. Too much ballooning in between fights, too much greesy foods, too much alcahol, too much damage from his style of fighting. 3 years ago, at JWW, Cotto/Hatton would have been a competitive fight. Now, at WW (no way Cotto still makes 140,) Cotto hurts him, BAD.

How is Cotto's resume so much better than Hatton's? Hatton lost to the P4P King. Cotto lost to an inferior fighter. Im a huge fan of Tony Margarito but he isnt in the same class as Mayweather.

You refuse to consider logic. Im agreeing that Cotto would probably stop Hatton at 147lbs. But Cotto wasnt the same at 140, he was sluggish, slow and weak. Hatton is an unstoppable force at 140 when hes on form. The Hatton who beat Tszyu stops Cotto at 140 in my opinion.

Check the first round,Malignaggi was clinching like Hatton and Cotto didnt know what to do.Cotto needs a lot of space to launch his shots.Ricky closes the space quickly and Cotto will be hit all night.
