He also considered Williams a tougher fight than Cotto. His managers words. I have the quotes but since I can't post links outside of BOXINGSCENE I'll tell you where to find it if anybody wants to look it up and read it themselves. I'm covering all loose ends lol. Margarito will duck Williams a second time too because now he doesn't have to fight him and Arum doesn't like the match up. My opinion. Nobody can tell me that they didn't notice how Margarito didn't even comment on Williams when asked by kellerman.I can understand if he wants Delahoya for the money but he acted like Williams didn't even exist. This is the man who beat him. You would think he would want to avenge that. All the greasts do that. He has not as of yet and has shown no interest.Marg vs PW II... ldo people really want to see this again?

who is 6'-1 -- two inches taller than Margarito -- and has a freaky 82-inch reach, which is more than any currently reigning heavyweight champion, including Wladimir Klitschko.

While considering Williams more hype than substance, Margarito said something that would probably stun most of the boxing world.

"Antonio thinks Paul Williams is a tougher fight than Cotto," Diaz said.

      What makes that so

surprising is because Cotto, who is also unbeaten (30-0, 25 KOs), has won 10 straight world championship fights. This will be Williams' first title fight.

"I say tougher because Paul Williams is a southpaw and he's like 6'-2," Margarito said. "Those are two things I am going to have to deal with. Cotto is right-handed and stands right in front of you. That's perfect for me."

Margarito is not crying, mind you, about having to fight Williams. The money he is getting for this fight, thanks to a winning purse bid of $1,506,250 by Williams' promoter, Dan Goossen, will be his biggest pay day ever, and set him up for even more money against Cotto.

"The reason why I took the fight with Williams is because I wanted to keep my belt," Margarito said. "I have held it for such a long time (six years). I know a lot of fighters would give up their belts for money, but I feel by having a title I can make even more money in a reunification fight."[/B][/SIZE][/B]

I don't think it's a matter of who wants to see it again. It has to happen within 2 more fights if both fighters can keep winning that long.

            Yea that makes sense.

The funniest **** is that Margarito actually fought Williams and people say hes ducking him.
Yeah, and since he didn't mention him as a revenge fight, he is now the new Floyd Maywether looking for money fights because if he wanted to fight Williams right now, he could get that fight. It isn't about ducking. You don't even see Joe's point lol.

When you've traveled the long hard road that Tony has, I don't see any fault in trying to get a money fight with DLH after such a excitingly, savage fight with Cotto. Mayweather my ass, this man takes any challenge as proven when he fought Williams instead of Cotto to try keep his belt.

So you didn't have a problem with Floyd fighting Dlh since that fight grossed the highest amount in boxing history, you just have a porblem with who floyd didn't fight? Cool, but Floyd's fans are seeing Margs and Cotto fans calling him a coward. Floyd is no coward. That is a cop out comment.

Correction: Any challenge if the sanctioning body FORCES Him to. In his own words, he knew the fight would be tough and tried to get out of it.

                  Whatever.

This is making little sense...is the TS trying to make it seem like he was ducking williams? because he took the fight regardless..plus the only reason the fight wasn't his 1st choice was because it was either fight williams or finally fight cotto

and he took the fight, he would rather defend against sum1 as dangerous as williams and not lose his belt than take a bigger money fight against a bigger name. doesn't that show he aint ducking williams at all cus he had good and valid reason not to fight williams and still did

sanctioning bodies cant force anybody to do ****. floyd just drops belts when a tough fight comes up. marg dropped a belt so he COULD fight a tough fighter in cotto. that proves he dont care about that ****. he fought williams and he fought cotto, dont ever accuse this man of cowardice its totally unwarranted.
