i dont think its the fact that otto lost but the way that he lost and that his stamina has had a quaestion mark over it for a long time you look at the other fighters in there; pavlik, calz, pacman and margarito and its obvious that they dont have that same problem. im not saying stamina is the only thing that i value in a fighter but it seems pretty bvious that if cotto wants to get back in the top 10 p4p he needs to improve his stamina - in fact its the only thng he needs to improve. heres my top 10:

    1) pacman

    2) joe calz

    3) juan manuel marquez

    4) vasquez

    5) pavlik

    6) rafael marquez

    7) margarito

    8) cotto

    9) hatton

    10) ivan calderon

other fighters worth considering - kessler, haye, chris john, oscar de la hoya, paul williams, hopkins, paluie malignaggi, klitchsko

Damn, Cotto off the list. It's not easy to get on this list, but it damn sure is easy to get off.

He's not far off...as noted at ten, it was him or Williams.

having Paul Williams on this list and not Cotto is a joke. Cotto looked like the #1 p4p for five and a half rounds and gets beat by an absolute beast on his best night. Williams beat Margarito on an off night and lost to Quintana, who Cotto destroyed. If Rafael Marquez and JMM are still on the list, why isn't Cotto? It's the same logic. Those two guys are coming off loses in which they looked very good, which is what Cotto just did. I think Cotto would easy beat Williams. Everyone is hyped that he blew away Quintana in the rematch, big deal. Quintana has no power, average speed, and clearly can't take a punch. How does losing to a guy like that, then beating him in a rematch make you p4p. Don't get me wrong, I like Williams, but he's not p4p yet.

Just talked to Izzy and he says he is shocked and a little embarrassed that boxingscene has him rated that high. But, he still appreciates the gesture.

The ranking of the welters on this is a little confusing. Does Margarito's loss to Williams not count, or Williams' to Quintana? Cotto had previously beaten better opposition than either and his only loss is to the now P4P #5, so in theory that is a more 'acceptable' loss than either of the other two fighters. Cotto also outboxed Marg for most of the fight.

I'm not a Cotto fan at all, but I would still have him as P4P top welter, with Marg a place behind while we wait to se what he does next. Williams would be a few places back, maybe not top ten at all.

We need to see either Cotto - Williams or Marg - Williams II, preferably both in order to clear this up.

Joe Calzaghe ????? I will not considere a fighter who use to slap his opponent, JC is just a crap nuts who earns his luckiest day when he fight and win by UD BHop (A great fighter from GB who send to canvas by an aging Bhop... hehehe a real crap nuts).

You've got Jermaine Taylor in your top 10, that says everything.
