I honestly don't think Cotto quit. He just had his will broken and the fight taken out him. Margarito pushed him to his absolute limit and he just had nothing left. Just by looking at him at the end of that fight he was just a totally different man with his spirits shot.

He quit, its as simple as that.......Remember what Vargas said once "I'd rather swallow my own blood than my pride!", I think Cotto was living the easy life for too long and didn't want to battle through some adversity.
