How would that fight expose Margarito if everyone knows this is the kind of fight Margarito fights every night? stop putting the man down bro, you mother ****ers are so bitter.

Exactly I said the same thing too, I guess they came in thinking he needed to watch over Cotto's left body hooks which never came. Margarito confident on his chin and his ability to take a good punch made it almost impossible for Cotto to throw those hooks, Margarito is a ****ing monster.

of course he's not a good all around boxer. He wears his opponents down with his tenacity and he won the fight just as many of his fans predicted. Cotto won the first half of the fight with his boxing skills but Margarito hung in their because of his strong chin and outlasted Cotto in the end.

Hey... im asking if anyone was surprised liek I was...

I'm not bitter... I bet on Margo to win and he did..

I'm genuinely surprised that Cotto was able to land such combos consistently...

maybe I doubted cotto too much... i just didnt think it would go the way it did..

Which makes me say rematch is a UD for cotto... maybe boring fight... cotto won't try that Macho Machismo stuff again...

more mayweathero sombrero to stop the wind from running and throwing.

            Understand where im coming from?

Its not about putting him down, its the truth. I respect Margo 100%, but toughness and a good chin can only take u so far as a proffesional boxer/fighter. If Cotto woud've chose to pull a Mayweather, and throw 1 punch and run the whole night, Viva's funeral would've been yesterday.

Margarito has never been a defensive genius. I could tell after the first couple of rounds that Cotto wouldn't make the distance. He was fighting at a pace way to fast for him. He also moved more than ever in his career. He landed every single shot he could of hoped for and didn't get the job done. Let it go. He gave it his all and got KO'd. If they rematch and Cotto fights slower paced, and doesn't move as much he will get stopped probably even sooner. Margarito is someone Cotto needs to stay away from.

Not really, Clottey and Williams managed to land pretty much the same way Cotto did.

                    lol.. cotto moves slower?

Thank god your no trainer.. who in the hell would tell him to do that?

How about cotto gets the round won and avoids margo... something like what mayweather does but stronger and a lil less speed and footmovement..

                    You gotta think man.

Marg was just to EASY to HIT... just surprised me.. though I bet on him to walk through cotto fairly easy... by the 9th..

wasn't that at all.. he was getting cracked up until the end of cotto's stamina.
Marg has always eaten a lot of punches. Cotto re-enforced my belief that Tony should get a good cashout fight and then exit. Great chin or not, taking shots to the head like that over and over again will eventually take a toll. He has a life after boxing that he needs to think about. You don't need to be consussed to end up with permanent brain damage. Bruising and short circuiting of the brain can still be taking place.

This was the first real beating Cotto took, but Marg takes one quite often. his super human toughness gets him through, for now.
