Is this a joke? I give Calzaghe at his best no chance in hell against Roy at his best. They aren't even comparable. If Roy somehow beats Calzaghe, I think it will completely ruin Calzaghe's legacy. He will have lost to an old, shot guy that he avoided years ago

As an all around boxer I think Calzaghe is better. He has won fights brawling, boxing, counterpunching, going forward, going backward, you name it. Roy was a speed and flair merchant, his all-around game was never even really tested. His offensive ability trumps anything Calzaghe has in the tank though.

Joe Calzaghe clearly has the better chin, and he never had to resort to using steroids.

Because of Roy's losses, which happened when he was about the same age as Joe was when he defeated Kessler, I'd have to say Joe is the better fighter overall.

We'll know more after their November fight, although they're both in their late 30s and so past their primes.
