I am talking about the thread starter. It is obvious to me that it is a bait thread trying to say that Britain is a better boxing nation just because the Arena didn't sell out.Maybe it would of sold out in Britain it still doesn't change the fact that alot of Americans bought the PPV.It balenced out.If the British were there the crowd may have been a little louder who knows?
American arenas and big fights ...

Actually you're in recession so I can understand that.In the USA the income is very different compared to Europe,Our middle class gets payed less compared to Britain and the value of our dollar is **** right now.You don't know anything so just be quiet. The airlines also upped their prices because of the rising gas prices.
If you look at the world economy everything is **** right now across Asia, Europe / including the UK due to high oil prices. Believe it or not, there is a world outside of America. And yes, I know the dollar is ****, it's been whack for sometime, your sub-prime mortgage market is also royally ****ed which has had a knock on effect over here because all our banks invested in the US housing market. What a balls up.Comment

Ive been to the Von trap Familys house and Amstadam to the Canibus Cup.Unlike many Americans I have a passport and use it to visit my cousins in spain. The banks are ******ed and gave out faulty loans and the fed had to bail them out.I heard there was a similar problem in Britian but as of now you are doing better and it will continue as we spiral down into debt because of this useless war that is unwinable.Actually you're in recession so I can understand that.

I'm not touchy about it and I don't really care how many people showed up to the fight. But, the facts are that this fight was more important to two races of people more so than any other regular boxing fan and last time I checked the US has more Mexicans and PR's than England. I sincerely doubt that the fight would do better in England.Probably because were a small island and quite alien to huge events like this, If this fight was promoted right and it was really put across to the public how its such a worldwide event and one of the biggest fights in boxing, It would be HUGE and could sell out a big arena.
Which i thought was the case in the US ... But after seeing all those empty seats i wondered why it didn't and made this thread ... Stop getting all touchy and sensitive.
Economy...popularity of boxing...Comment

You may not of attempted it that way,but some of your countrymen look for any chance to talk about America or Americans in a negative way like knows-jack over here.It goes both ways.Last edited by ALT-Assassin; 07-29-2008, 09:05 AM.Comment
