American arenas and big fights ...

Why couldn't Cotto vs Margarito sell out a tiny arena like MGM grande? That looks really bad for boxing i mean what does it hold again? 14,000 or so?

It did very well on PPV over here and it is summer time in VEGAS so watch it in an air conditioned hose instead.

Since there's more talent here, there isnt a sense of urgency to go watch fights live.

Ricky will sell 100k tickets because c'mon, who else are they going to watch? Amir Khan?

The yanks are armchair supporters, they prefer to sit and watch PPV eating pizza and playing with their balls.

But I agree, I thought it would be a sell out with the Mexicans being 2nd behind the Brits for having the biggest fan followings.

                    I didn't mention Hatton.

Cotto Margarito would have done better in the UK easily, We love boxing.

This isn't a dig at America ... Just saying ...
