Rematch Analysis: Miguel Cotto Should Beat Margarito

It's funny how people can just assume and talk out of their asses, even that writer is a freaking moron. Cotto fought perfectly, there was really not much he could of done differently to try to win this fight, people are quick to judge a fighters performance because they are on the outside looking in, they are not in there playing with fire. Even Cotto himself was humble and decent to admit he tried plan a, b, c & d and just couldn't find a way to beat Margarito, he was also being asked about why he wasn't able to go to inside and he simply said "I just couldn't find a way".

Some of you ****ers are questioning Cotto's footwork, how much better can he get? the guy was practically dancing around the ring and Margarito had a difficult time trying to cut the ring with him due to how well Cotto was moving and Margarito's lack of footspeed. People who criticize Cotto's performance are undermining his abilities and putting down Margarito as well. I really see no difference in a rematch, I think Margarito has the tools to beat a guy like Cotto, plus he has the mental advantage at this point.

How much money do you want to bet on it? I'd put how ever much you want up against you (thousands). Tony broke Cotto's will, this isn't like losing a decision or a quick KO. He got beat up, he fought his best fight thus far in his career and was beaten so bad he took a knee twice and the fight was stopped out of mercy. He would have been ruined completely if it wasn't stopped with that last 4 minutes to go. Cotto is tons more talented then Tony, but Tony has his number. Just like Mayorga had Forrest's number.

Margarito ran Cotto ragged in that fight.In a rematch Cotto could fight for 6-8 rounds or he could run and box for 9-11 rounds again but either way he gets taken out again.People don't give Tony enough credit for the amount of body work he did in that fight from the 1st till the 11th and the way he took away Cotto's body shots by defending his body so well all fight and the great use of the uppercut.The man beat the best body puncher at his own game and got the better of a faster shorter armed fighter on the inside.That fight wasn't about what Cotto did wrong but about what Margarito did great.

Bull**** "el nuevo dia"(rican newspaper) said that at touchdown yesterday he was in high spirits and already saying that he will be back in the ring by the end of the year.That doesnt sound like a beaten fighter to me.He'll be back bu the end of the year then get his rematch by spring....just wait and watch it happen

I agree he can't do it for the rest of his career, but if they fought next year this doesn't change. Tony got hit and yeah he took punches, but compare Cotto's and Margarito's face, you know who won fight.
