i'll always pull for margarito in a fight (obviously for the exception of the rematch), the guy's proven what you *******s have known ... nothing but total respect. he's the epitome of what our race is, determined.Comment

Cotto,is a young and well around boxer. That night was not his, additional to not having a fight plan ahead of time. He will come back for another title fight, but not with Margarito. He will definitively leave him for the last to gain experience and time to organize his life as whole. Margarito is just looking for money he is not great boxer, he just a good hitter with stamina. Cotto has learn his lesson and will come stronger, maybe he will fight with the winner Correy and Judah. Even more why not give Paul Williams to unify with Margarito. Cotto will be back Stronger...Comment

This was a good post.Seriously, I really don't think he's done or anything like that, he's still young and prime and obviously has the skill and heart to continue winning, but how would this loss affect him mentally? he didn't lose a close decision, instead he got beaten up pretty badly. We all know fighters get ruined after a loss like this, specially undefeated young fighters who are at the top of their game, they lose that confidence and start to doubt themselves. Cotto seems like a pretty serious and level-headed guy, but how much of that seriousness and resolve can a man still posses after the kind of beating he took during that fight?
To all the Cotto fans, who would you like to see your man pinned up against? I would rather him take the remaining of the year off to heal and recuperate himself mentally and see where he wants to go from there. Would he be the same? would he still be an aggressor or would he take the boxer approach from now on as he did against a guy like Tony?
I actually felt sad for Cotto after rewatching the fight last night, the whole animosity I had towards him before the fight (mostly fueled by his ******ed ****-sucking fans that is) was pretty much thrown out of the window, I sympathize with him although I was more than happy to see Margarito win. I wish him the best and hopefully he can recoup and get in the ring again.
I don't think he'll be ruined, he gave as good as he got most of the fight. He just ran into a man who's chin and resolve were not going to be dented on that night.
I agree with your statement about him being level headed. I don't think this will be the type of situation such as what happened to Vargas after he fought Trinidad. As far as who to fight next.......he needs to jump back on the horse. I would look for the winner of Clottey-Judah. I expect Clottey to win and it would be a stern test without quite the same danger as an immediate rematch with Margarito. Jmo.Comment

didn't see your skinny ass yesterday I figured you were still high.
