dang... i think quittin is more like hasim rahcman or frietas... on the stool... hell if cotto wouldve stayed down it wouldve been more of a quit job than standing up and acknowleding your corner throwing in the towel....

what should he have done ... gone and thrown a punch at his uncle... cotto probally didnt even know where he was...

yea, i heard that Cotto was having problems with his uncle prior to the fight,
Maybe that contributed to his state of mind as, in my opinion he didnt look right from the very second he got hurt badly in round 7.
And before you all start,im NO Cotto nuthugger looking for excuses, I actually backed Tony to win so thats why im so suprised at Cotto and the way he boxed when hurt.

Is it really quitting when you have nothing left?

result is still the same my friend. i dont disrespect Cotto for it but after watching again he deffo quit, which is what has been questioned since the fight ended.
There is a clear look to his corner, a shake of the head and the towel followed that. Obviously he had nothing left BUT is it better to quit or be stopped?

I have seen the fight, 3 times now i think it is, I still cannot say he quit. He was looking at the ref..Looked over to his corner as they came in to stop the fight and winked or nodded or whatever. He knew he was done, but wanted to go on. However, he nodded or winked whatever he did, towards his corner when they came in as if to say i'm done. If not for them, he would have gone on and been dropped again and stopped.

Yup. The fight was over when they stepped up to the apron.

How the **** do you know he had nothing left?? Did you ask Cotto?? If you have nothing left and didn't continued fighting that is called quitting. If a team is done 10 goals at 75 min and they stopped at walked of to stop further embarrassment is that called quitting. YES

No, look how he walked backwards and couldn't even stand up. His body was telling him no no no. There was nothing left (apart from a brutal knockdown and potentially brain damage).

You know Kaka is a good christian and would be embarrassed to have someone like you putting him in his avatar talking the kind of heartless crap you do.
