You know Kaka is a good christian and would be embarrassed to have someone like you putting him in his avatar talking the kind of heartless crap you do.
So what how do you know 100% sure that he could continue or not. He was broke and was in shock the treatment Margarit had handed him. Margarito made Cotto quit. That is simple. If you can't continued it means you quit. If I was running 100m metres sprint and I was coming last do I just drop off and quit no. You finish what you come to do. He quit, why do you deny this. If he couldn't continued he quit.

All you have to do is listen to Emmanuel Stewart.....he had a better seat than all of us and he said that Cotto said he was done!!! Listen to the commentary sometimes.....I know they be talkin' bull**** but sometimes listen!

****.... You Guys Are Funny... Cotto Didn't Quit... Corner Threw In The Towel..

Cotto Would Never Quit With The Country On His Back.... Yes He Might Have Been Destroyed But Cotto Did Not Quit...

You Can See What You Wanna See Though... A Fact Is A Fact. Cotto Didn't Quit!

HE WOULD HAVE FOUGHT UNTIL POSSIBLE BEING KNOCKED OUT IF THE CORBNER DIDNT STEP IN... AND THATS THE TRUTH!... CORNER SAVED HIM FROM A POSSIBLE BRUTAL K.O!

BUT COTTO WOULD HAVE KEPT FIGHTING AFTER HE GOT UP.

However after watching the fight 3 more times since it is clear that after the 2nd knockdown Cotto shook his head and said "no" in the direction of his corner. Seconds later the towel was thrown in and the fight waved off.
This indicates to me that YES Cotto did indeed quit.
I almost felt sorry for the guy to be honest, Tony broke his heart and spirit as well as his face.
In my opinion, telling his corner he couldnt take any more was probably a sensible thing to do and my respect for him as a boxer has not diminished because of that.
              Did anyone else see this?
i spotted this also!! the second knockdown isn't even from a punch, its from a LOOK!!

what ever the look was on maragritos face it was enough to make cotto not want to fight anymore!!

When he went down on his knee when the ref counted then montioned him
to get up cotto got up and went to walk towards Marg it was only when the ref
was told at ringside that his corner threw in the towel that he stopped cotto and
cotto then clocked on to what was going down and walked to his corner..

Nah man it aint qutting to me
He starved us of a clean knockdown because he went down on his knee
his gulity of that but he didnt actually quit the fight

uhh, because he couldn't ****en walk. Look at him he goes to walk back and falls over. He was done, finito nothing left to give. Thats not quitting, thats fighting until you have nothing left.

He had been through some brutal rounds and it was probably the right choice in the long run. He would have eventually been dropped again. I don't think he quit, plus it's easy for us the fans to say he quit, but we weren't the ones in there feeling the punishment for 11 rds.

Listen, there is no quit in Cotto. He was taking a pounding beyond I could imagine in a short amount of time. The fight was great. The fight was stopped at the right time. You want to have a chance to fight another day. Unless you have been in the ring before, I believe you don't even have the right to comment on this matter. Cotto will be back! I hope not for a rematch....yet.....
