It was a good fight, no doubt, but not a truly great one.
they have seemed uneffective but everytime that margarito came inside on cotto with all his body shots he wore him down more and more. all those body shots were 1000 times more damaging than the face shots cotto was landing on margarito

If for no other reason, because Miguel Cotto was never that type of fighter. Trinidad was, he literally fought for his country and his people every time out. Cotto's learned to embrace it, but it's still two completely different personalities - and two completely different fighters, for that matter.

one more point of clarification, though - "alright" and "very good" are two very different things. this fight was unquestionably much better than alright, and i wouldn't dare limit it to such a description.

I agree with the PR-Mexico rivalry being overstated for this fight. Cotto and Trinidad are two completely different personalities....that is what I never embraced Trinidad. Win or lose, I much prefer Cotto's demeanor before and after a fight.

yeah it was a good fight, but the level of competition is Nowhere near the level of the cotto margarito fight, plus the judges ****** chavez lost that fight or at the very least he tied it, i am sick and tired of everyone defending him, he makes up excuses everytime he performs poorly.

The emotional reactions to this fight will wear off and then some folks will sit down and watch it, and Izzy-Rafa III back to back with tosme time behind them...and it won't even be remotely close.

              Izzy-Rafa was that much better.
