Easy question TITO by UD, KO, or decapitation... his power at welter was untouchable. Tito didnt back up against Bhop why the hell would he against a smaller lesser puncher in Margarito.
Prime tito @ 147 vs Margarito

I absolutely agree that a prime Tito can fight the full 12 rounds, but what happens if Tony can take his best punch? What else does he have to rely on? That's why I think Margarito stops him. Without the punch, Tito is nothing, and Margarito may well have been able to take that punch.
Sucks we'll never know the truth.Comment

I can't see Tito being able to take that pressure. I'm sure he could take Margarito's best punch, but Margarito doesn't have a single best punch, it's an accumulation of punches.Comment

It would make for a hell of a fight but I just can't see a Trinidad win if Tony could take his punch. Sure Tito would still be hanging in there, grinding it out and throwing back but he doesn't throw like Margarito does. He's never thrown 150 punches in a round before, last night Margarito threw 130 in 1 round followed by 127. I think it was rounds 5 and 6.

tito beats margarito even if margarito can take the punishment.Comment

While Tito may not be as small as Cotto, he's still the smaller man against Margarito. Not in terms of heigh or reach but in terms of rehydrated weight.
We'll have to agree to disagree.Comment

But you're implying Cotto would've gotten the decision had he survived the 11th? Absurd! 2 of the 3 official judges had Margarito ahead by 2 points, and 1 had it a draw (the right scoring). Cotto went down twice in the 11th, if he survived it would've been a 10-7 round. Putting Margarito u pby 2 points on 1 card, and 3 on the other 2. Cotto would've lost even if he had won the 12th which would've been impossible in his current state.
And don't blame Cotto's loss on his "gassing". Who made him gas out? Margarito, that's who. Stop trying to discredit the man.Comment

I agree that Cotto did land the cleaner, more effective blows in the fight, but that doesn't matter considering they never hurt Margarito. I myself had the fight a draw when the fight was stopped.
Margerito was busting him up half way through the fight. I lost some cash because of itComment

I don't think Margarito had that much trouble handling Santos' punches, the headbutts were what did the most damage (why the fight was stopped).

So Cotto built up an early lead. Which led to the draw on my card.Comment
