Cotto just got brutally KO'd. He has some healing time, and then he is coming back in a (maybe 2) tune-up. You should not expec t to see Migs at the upper echelon for about a year. I'd be surprised if he fought again this year, even.

No stand out fighter in the division is a bad thing, but oh well. Like someone already said, less PPV's.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.
you ready to put Berto in with the top guys?

A Williams /marg rematch, or even Tony/Josh 2 is interesting to us hardcore fans.... but those are not commercial fights.

LW is stealin the spotlight but WW is still hot. Tony-Williams 2 is gonna happen sooner or later. Judah-Clottey will be good while it lasts. Cotto's outta the pic monetarily but he'll be back. SSM is getiin old and keeps goin up and down in weight, which ain't good, but for anotha fight or 2 he can still be excitin. Cintron's been evicted from potentially elite status, but if he stays at 147 he can make fun fights wit most guys. The division is fine.

In terms of big fights though his hands are tied. Oscar won't fight him, Mosley won't be available until next year, an immediate rematch with Cotto seams unlikely which leaves a rematch with Paul Williams which may not be his favoured fight. Judah and Clottey don't represent that big fight and Berto won't be in any rush to fight someone like Margarito.

Cotto remains a class boxer, and had he not been stopped might easily have won the fight. For sure we won't see him in big fights for a while because he'll want some easier ones now, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.
