Official, Floyd has NO CHANCE vs Margarito

Wrong. This dude ran himself out of gas. He didn't get hit an awful lot. I've seen Cotto get tired before. Remember the Mosley fight. He was tired in the late rounds. Have you ever seen Mayweather tired like that homie?

Very true. Mayweather is my favorite fighter but he has that disease, bitchassness....haha...Seriously he needs to fight Marg. His hands should be healed by next year. He won't have any excuses. This fight should happen.

OK so I've rewatched the fight acouple times now. Basically it's like this. Cotto played on the backfoot ala Floyd. He stuck on the ropes and countered effectively, ala Floyd. Cotto hits with POWER, unlike Floyd. Cotto is decently fast, Floyd abit faster but this doesn't matter. So now when Floyd attempts the exact same thing Cotto did, except with less power, brittle ***** hands, wtf will he do when Margarito hits anything he can on Floyd? He'll go to the body, the head, the side, uppercuts, everything. Floyd can block a decent amount, but not for a full 12 rounds. Muchless, the power Margarito brings is unlike anything he's felt for 12 rounds. I'm convinced Margarito would easily wear Floyd out just as he did Cotto except give Floyd less respect due to his lack of power.

LoL, I pretty much ignored any post that had Floyd in the avatar or some other hit n run fighter, LoL! That aside, Floyd never fought a pressure fighter on the elite level of Marg. He's true pressure and ****s wit your head mentally. He just doesn't stop. Speed a factor? Considering when Floyd's on the ropes, he mostly goes into his show off how many he can block and the occasional right hand he'll let off, I think Margo would eat him up against the ropes. The fight would hardly play in the middle I think because of Marg's style pushing him back. This would force Mayweather to fight off the ropes the entire fight, and I can't see him doing any better than Cotto when he can't put a dent in Marg's chin when he's got featherfists. Marg would completely disrepect anything Floyd has and just keep hitting him anywhere, until Floyd gets worn down and can't take it anymore. Seriously, now you know why Floyd turned down 8 million. The proof couldn't be anymore clearer that Margo is the real deal.

i just don't see margarito actually landing much of anything on floyd. DLH had a horrible time trying to do it, and he tried the same strategy to push the fight and pressure floyd. didn't work. on top of that, DLH is way faster than tony and does a better job cutting off the ring.

if this fight ever happens, floyd by UD, tony takes one, maybe 2 rounds, but the results the same.

This thread is moot; Floyd is retired. Floyd won't necessarily win. Hes smaller and without much power, he has brittle hands, doesn't throw enough punches to impress judges, and may not be tough enough. What if he breaks his hand early in the fight by hitting Margarito? Then what happens?
