Floyd could sustain that level for the full 12. I am totally convinced he would not hurt Marg but he would outbox him.

        he sure could.

he is more accurate, way better defensively and more elusive. he would UD Margarito.

        shame he's retired though.

If Cotto can outbox Margarito in the first 6 rounds even though Cotto isnt a Boxer/Mover, I dont want to imagine what a speed boxer would do to Margarito...earlier in the fight last night Margarito looked frustrated when Cotto was moving.

What Cotto did and what Floyd did are completely different. Mayweather has other elements to his defense beside dodging punches. Miguel went in the corner and just dodged what he could and countered.

Mayweather never really throws when the other guy is throwing. That's why he doesn't get hit as much or as cleanly. He lets you get off and then he picks and chooses his spots. He really mixes it up well. He always looks to throw punches when you are not ready. That's what's so frustrating about fighting him. You have to bust your ass to get a decent scratch on him and then once you are done he comes back with great precision.

Mayweather dodges punches similar to what Cotto did. However, Mayweather is also is able to roll with punches which is a lot more difficult to do. But at the same time you expend less by staying in the pocket rolling with punches rather than ducking punches and constantly back peddling. Mayweather also does a good job of clinching when his guys is on the inside and about to flurry.

                Yes
Margarito needs to throw more combo's, he's very easy to read
Whether Floyd could break him down.. is another thing

I would much rather watch Marg vs Hoya, rematch vs Williams or a rematch vs Cotto even. After this fight I still think Cotto gives Mayweather the hardest fight right now.
this is the key statement, the majority of floyd fans, most of whom are either boxing purists or people who have been fans of guys like whitaker, ali etc know what to expect.

                    Everyone is giving good points....

I'd like to see some points for how margarito could pull it off if any?

Is there a way T. TORNADO could beat MONEY MAY if they both boxed they way they did in their greatest fights?

I know someone has to think margo could pull it off?....

                    Someone.
