I'm sorry but I just don't see that. It won't be a hard fight. Floyd is easily gonna counter the much slower puncher. Lets compare what Cotto did that Mayweather would have done better. Mayweather would have pop the jab more often. Mayweather wouldn't take the punishment Cotto took when his back was against the ropes. Infact, Margarito won't land a damn thing when Floyd is against the ropes. Floyd has better stamina then Cotto. I've always said Floyd is built to go 15 rounds. Floyd has better reach, speed, accuracy, stamina, defense then Cotto. Plus that jab to the body will keep Margarito away.

In which of Floyd most recent fights have you seen any use of the jab? Becuase i haven't. His foot speed is not the same as it was in the lower weights, he has no power behind his punches and his reflexes have slowed. A boxer needs to his distance to box and move and they also need to land something in order to get the pressure fighter's respect and Mayweather has no power at welterweight. Therefore, what would Margarito have to fear coming back at him when he has taken the biggest power punches from the two biggest hitters at welterweight which was Cintron and Cotto. I see Margarito having little trouble at walking though Mayweather's punches just to land his own.Castillio can do it but Margarito can't? I don't know why people are saying that Mayweather would do what Cotto did in the first six rounds, when Margarito didn't even warm up until that point. His long arms, natuarl size advantage, consistant heat and welterweight power will give Mayweather problems.

I think Mayweather knows this, which is why he never wanted any part of Margarito. He was always a high risk with little reward. Again, I'm not saying that he would beat Mayweather but he is capable of doing it and he certainly has the style to get it done. Funny how people are so quick to put Cotto off now that he has lost to Margarito. In reality, Cotto was one of the best boxers and put the power with his speed and ability. He also out boxed Judah and Mosley both.

Also, how would you figure Mayweather's stamina is better than Cotto's? Show me a fight where anyone was pressuring Mayweather that much.

wOW... GOOD ARGUEMENTS FOR both sides.... would be a tough fight either way... i also think mayweather might be able to run/move/skip/sidestep his way to a UD.. would be fun to watch for me.

Floyd would have an easier time with Tony than he would with Cotto. Williams easily out-boxed Tony as was Cotto at times, he just didn't pace himself and was putting too much behind his punches trying to KO Tony, which was never going to happen.

I see Floyd winning an easy UD in a similar fight he fought against DLH. Floyd moves and counters too good for Margarito and has shown that he can handle pressure against DLH and Hatton. I really don't see how Margarito beats Floyd unless Floyd walked into a roundhouse.

People say Cotto got weak defense, they are coming with the sugar shane landed 50% of his powerpunches argument etc, at the same time they call Floyd a defensive genius.
Now, Cotto looked like a defensive genius against Margarito till the 11th round, what would Floyd look like?

Yes and better. He wouldn't get hit half as much as Cotto did. Cotto was out of his element the entire night. He's used to walking guys down being the aggressor. He did an excellent job early on. But by the 5th round the writing was on the wall. I knew he would eventually succumb to the pressure. He couldn't hurt Margarito at all.

Cotto did well, but you could see he wasn,t comfortable with the situation
