    Not compleat ****, but weak.
Repeatedly saying the division is weak is the easiest way to discredit Wlad.

I think it's pretty much the same as it's always been, people say it's weak because Europeans are on top. But when I watch old heavyweight fights from the 60s to the 90s, the fighters don't really seem any better than they are today. If you watch only a few of the best fights from back then, you may get the impression that it was far better, but if you watch a lot of fights, you'll realize it really wasn't.

When an American wins a world title again, people will start saying the division has improved.

Honestly, I disagree. When you watch Ali-Frazier or Bowe-Holyfield or something like that, they seem a lot better, quicker, and more willing to engage.
Sure there were bums in every era. Today we just have slower, lazier ones.

Name someone better than Michael Spinks or Schmelling on Wlad's resume.

There can be no question that the HW division is currently weaker than at any time in the last 20 years, and for a lot of posters on here that means that a weak HW division is all they have ever known.
You only have to look back at some of the matches made in the last 20 years compared to those made say in the last 5 years. Granted there has been the odd great match/fight in that time period but 20 years ago every other HW fight was between 2 great fighters, thats how good the depth was at the time.

Wlad is good but not great. He should be getting those bums out of there a little faster.

He fought bums but he also fought good fighters and had a long reign.
                      Most boxing historians will agree.
