I've been watching for a little under 2 years, but I have been watching tons of old fights. I would guess over 200.

You should damn well know how much skill matters considering your favoriet fighter's breakout fight was won because he had more skill than Edison Miranda, meaning his punches got there quicker and were much more ffective.

I like Kadsitas by close decision. I like his sepeior punching power and Diaz is not comfortable at being roughed up and taking consistant head punches and Kadsitas will definitely get there and set the tempo.

look technical skills do matter only to an certain extent. Kelly also won that fight cause he was determined and had the will power he was also stronger. I'd take heart and determination over technical skills.

I can't imagine you ever win bets if you bet on heart and determination over skill.

How much money did you put on Gatti to beat Mayweather?

I see what you are saying, however these are two come foward ****ers that are not very pretty and only has one way of winning. They are not going to out box anyone or use ring, they are going to come foward and try to implor their game on their opponent and break then down. Diaz has a slight advantage in defense, technique and combination punching.

I do quite well actually after been watching boxing for the past 15 years or so. I see them come up the ranks, see them fight on espn2, fox sports, youtube, And then eventually see them on hbo or showtime. Trust me I do well in that deartment. Ask any body who knows boxing, your just a beginner to boxing if you started watching boxing for only 2 years.

Yeah, but... there is something to be said for subtle skill.

Pavlik-Miranda was all about coming forward too, but Kelly was able to dominate because of more correct punching. I've seen Diaz punch and I've seen Katsidis punch. Diaz knows how to connect with short, effective punches. Katsidis is an idiot and wings haymakers like it is his job. Diaz is going to connect first a lot of the time, and it's going to really wear Katsidis down I think.

Like I said, I've watched the majority of the major bouts since 1990. The 2 year label is quite misleading.

Good point about Pavlik and Miranda, but lets not forget that Pavlik actually punched harder than Miranda did where as Diaz is not a big puncher. He is just a decent hitter and combination puncher who wears guys down by doing that. Kadsitas has the better puncher power and is use to fighting this kind of fight.

It's going to be a repeat of the Julio Diaz fight...
