Sure did wanna see him fight Taylor, but whatever he thinks is best. I thought he fought well, and he was in there with another one of those damn hard throwing Colombians.

      A PRIME Lacy,lol..

He's 30 friggin years old what are you saying?? Good riddance, I've never liked this over muscle bound stiff dude. While I didn't predict the Calazaghe torture, I've seen vulnerabilities in him from the Vanderpool and Omar Sheika bouts.

Had he not had the knockdown he wold have lost to "Contender" Peter Manfredo.

He says, "kids don't get involved in this sport".. I say, "kids don't think because you lift weights excessively and forget to throw a jab thinking all it takes is power punching that you can succeed in this sport at the top levels".

I know boxing is very dangerous and in any fight your life is at risk, but if i was Lacy, this would be my last fight, as in this is "my money fight." Him going out like this makes me think is he that nice of a guy that he saw the video of his fight and thought that the other guy should have won, or can it be he betted on himself to lose and got ****ed because of the decision? Lacy is still young enough to take at least one more tough fight. Especially a fight that was said to happen back when they were amatures and not in the same weight class.

Good. I like to see fighters walk away when the time is right. At least he can go out with class, citing a shoulder injury, having only one loss to Calzaghe. Many fighters get tempted back in to take dives for the quick money, I hope he can find something to do outside of the ring.

Seems like corruption drove him out of boxing rather then his injuries... I want to know what dirty business activities drove him out of boxing!

it is better to retire now then later.

Boxing is different from other sports. The more you have match the less your life span becomes as well as you ability to function as a normal person

Lacy retired in 2005, it's just he annouced it publically in 2008.
Believe it or not I mean no disrespect to the guy, it's just stating facts.
