Before adapting and coming back to win them all would everyone like him more?...

Just a question.. because the tougher the fight the more people seem to like fighters unless its extreme LOPSIDE IN TALENT/KO/or they are just a diehard fan.
I think they would like him more if he had a different personality and attitude.

Yea I do,it just annoys me when a masterclass boxer like Floyd gets all the negitive treatment because of the part he plays to sell tickets and the choices he makes in his own career.Check the previous post I made to clarify what I was trying to express

no, the honour of being known as a warrior in the ring. Guys like Nigel Benn, Arturo Gatti, Jose Castillo and Ricky Hatton have that honour but Mayweather never will.

I think it would have helped mayweather, but i think what really gets people with mayweather is that he didn't clean out the division, most of his tough opponents, *short of corrales and Ricky Hatton (which i would have liked to seen without cortez, though i don't blame cortez for hatton's loss, but i do think you need to let the guys fight)* he cherry picked his way to victory rather than giving the fans dominating victories - For instance, when tyson was undefeated and knocking everyone out/cleaning out the division/taking on all commers, people loved him. I think if mayweather were to come out of retirement, which he shouldn't, and beat cotto impressively (Only IF IF IF cotto beats margarito tomorrow) i think alot of haters/nay sayers would become fans.

Are you Joking? He and his family stated numerous times that Floyd is not really like that.Did you see the way he embraced Hatton affter the fight and how he has done that to all the fighters he fought. There always has to be a good guy and a bad guy if not than no intrest will be put into the fight by the fans.Mayweather is a smart buisness man as well as a smart fighter.Hatton is the one who called out Mayweather and talked nearly just as much **** as him but he gets praised as a hometown hero.

I give him credit, he's smart inside the ring and outside it.

But his insecure character wrecked any chance he had at being remembered as a great. His boxing was never going to see him remembered (his style is too boring) but he could've been remembered for his personality. Alas, he'll be remembered for neither.

                      IMAGE IS EVERYTHING
When you are in the limelight the way you present yourself leaves and impression on people and how they think of you.

Floyd jr if he came out with a humble persona early instead of this flashy thug idiot persona and disrespectful narcissist **** he would of been famous way way earlier.

And people wouldnt be caring if he fought cotto to be honest but the reason people demand him to fight cotto is cause all he says is these guys is bums ill knock them out, they aint on my level, im greater then sugar ray, and ali etc.

That is why people dislike him and grade him on a super high scale and want him to fight these tough guys that he claims are bums.

You do not see people hating on boring ass winky wright its because he actually fights the best guys and wants to make those fights and he never insults his foes like floyd jr does.
