remember henry armstrong, held flyweight, lightweight and welterweight titles all at once, of course he was a great fighter in his prime, winning something like 45 straight matches in one year... now thats a fighter, but he burnt out by the time he reached 30. i'm against de lahoya fighting manny, but if he does, it would be great to see if manny could pull off a henry armstrong!

fighting cotto now would make sense as he is just coming of a defeat and it would be a good comeback fight for him. But, i'd love to see margarito smash through de la hoya!

The circus is in town and the tent is 70% done...

It looks as if Manny Pacquiao has some serious fight plans for his career. As talk has been heating up of a possible showdown between Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya, now comes news that Filipino Superstar doesn't plan on stopping there.

Pacquiao is aiming for a showdown with De La Hoya for December 6th, a fight he believes he can win. After that, according to Pacquiao's business manager Eric Pineda who tells Insidesports.ph, Pacquiao then wants to fight Ricky Hatton, hopefully in May or June of next year. Hatton is another fighter Pacquiao believes he can defeat... and it doesn't stop at the Hitman.

Pineda also tells the publication that after Hatton, Pacquiao is then planing to lure Floyd Mayweather Jr. out of retirement and into the ring.

Pineda also reported to insidesports.ph that the Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya fight was 70 percent done.

          Two reasons:
          (1) Margarito is very dangerous - and Oscar wants to go out on a very winnable fight. Margarito could easily beat him.

          (2) Oscar doesn't want to hear boos from the Mexican crowd. They would all be cheering Margarito. Oscar de la Diva needs to be the hero in his farewell bout.

I guarantee he won't fight Cotto.
Oscar will probably go after the dude who started his pro career at 106 lbs. - Manny Pac.

Ivan Calderon was busy, and Christy Martin turned him down.
All good points, especially Oscar not wanting to face Tony because of the mexican crowd factor.

It was really always going to be Pacman ... he has nothing to lose. In losing to DLH he can justifiably say the weight was too much for him and he is a big enough draw to satisfy Oscar.
I like the sound of Pacmans plans as laid out above though!!!!

I think myself that Oscar is gonna go with the pac fight.
            Cotto's bubble has been burst
his never gonna fight a mexican for his last fight no chance
the only other big option is Pacman..
Specially since pac's been calling him out ever since he beat Diaz
