Guys, this is a done deal.
In the Philippines the media has already leaked the $10M offer of DLH.
Its all up to Pacman now....

Possibly, and this is only a surmise, he feels that Cotto would need his maximum effort. If Margarito wins, then Margarito would be too much for him. I believe that, whilst Cotto is a good left body hooker, he has to be in position, and it would be comparatively easy for Oscar to keep from getting himself in the right place for a Cotto body shot.

Whereas Margarito, besides being a Cotto conqueror, (assumed) fires away to the body from ALL angles and at full power. Oscar is very weak in the body, as is evidenced by his chest protector masquerading as a lower body cup. Also if you can recall his second Mosely fight, where Mosely was practically putting holes through his ribs with single right hand shots, causing Oscar to crouch more and more over, (like The Hunchback of Notre Dame) trying to protect his body. A little more over, and he'd have fallen on his nose without being touched (slight levity here). This caused his punch output to cease almost entirely.

So this is my reading of his anti-Margarito position. Not saying I'm right, just a playful speculation, like ALL the opinions on this board.

I think you have the words in the wrong places. I don't think that Oscar wants a HUGE last fight as such. I think he wants a good enough opponent where he can win, and pay HIM a HUGE "stash of cash" (poetica).

When Cotto wins tomorrow, this fight will be made. What better way for DLH to go out than a PR vs Mexico battle.

                exactly!!

i would pay $100 to watch cotto-dlh lol i dont care.

for odlh to go against an undefeated top dog like cotto would stamp oscar's legacy.

the 24/7 show for this would be pretty crazy tooo

i hope odlh fights cotto... and then when cotto becomes a household namee... mayweather fights cotto in 2009... that's going to be a huge year then... cotto vs. mayweather and klitschko vs. haye

I don't know if Pacquiao can overcome this size advantage and Oscar is still a pretty good boxer. Pacquiao could win on the cards but idk see how he takes Oscar out. Oscar's only been KOed one time(by a bigger man).
