I have never seen Froch, but I haven't heard good things.

I am also 100% willing to believe that someone who sucks is going to beat Pascal. Pascal is ****ing terrible. Seriously, one of the worst "prospects" I've ever seen.

Froch is an underestimated fighter my friend, he has a decent amatuer pedigree and has rocks in both hands.
Im the other way round, i didnt know much about Pascal but the general consensus is the same as your opinion ..... he is ****!!
if that is the case then Froch will KO him with relative ease.
IMO, as good as Taylor is (was) i still think that Froch is the younger, hungrier fighter and would take the win in that fight.

Well, Pascal is athletic and he has fast hands. But thats pretty much everything.

As fast as his hands are, as slow does he seem to move and react defensively. He seems to be pretty hittable and he does not seem to have the best chin. So a bad defense and a questionable chin, that doesnt sound too good if youre going to fight Froch.

        Froch by KO

They should put the Froch/Pascal fight on the same card with Taylor/Lacy, making each fight an eliminator for the vacant WBC belt. Taylor/Lacy is definitely going to be on HBO, so it would get Froch the U.S. exposure he's been needing, and be a great build-up for the winners of each fight (presumably Froch and Taylor) to fight for the vacant belt.

WAY to logical to ever happen though, I know.

Froch vs. Pascal shouldn't be an eliminator, it should be for the title (as it will be).

Taylor had his chance to fight Froch for the title but he ducked him, so he could instead take an easier fight with poor shot Jeff Lacy.

I agree with dstew, this should be on the undercard of Taylor-Lacy.

I realize that Froch and Pascal will be fighting for the WBC, but I was offering a suggestion about what fans would LIKE to see. It would help Froch/Pascal TREMENDOUSLY if they fought an HBO card with Taylor/Lacy.

It is sad that the title fight in this instance has less draw than the matchup between two former olympians, but that's the way it is. Taylor and Lacy are aided by the fact that they are from the U.S., ex-Olympians, and ex-champions. Money will follow them more readily than it will Froch and Pascal, even though they are the ones fighting for a belt. My suggestion would benefit them, and be entertaining for fans.

And saying Taylor ducked Froch is ridiculous. Taking another fight does not always equal ducking. I can definitely see these two guys meeting down the road. If he beats Lacy, Taylor should be able to get the title shot of his choosing, given the money and HBO support he would have backing him. If Froch has the WBC and Taylor continues to choose easier fights, then I'll call him on it. But it's way too early for that.

It turns out that Radio-Canada was correct.

This fight was officially announced today.

Froch is a very inactive fighter, alot of his fights dont seem to happen for one reason or another.

Dont be to shocked if this one gets put back
