Well now. My su****ions have been completely sealed. The Joe C. win over Lacy meant nothing to boxing other than to be Joe's coming out party on American TV. Lacy is crap and will lose to basically any elite fighter if he can barely beat a nobody like this unpolished , back of the head hitting loser he fought last night. Abadger sit there and said he did'nt know what would happen if Rjj fought Lacy. LOL. Mendoza was there for the taking and Lacy could do nothing to end the show. Jones would have stopped Lacy inside of 2 rounds. I had him losing by one point because I called the 2nd round a 10-8 based on him being hurt for half of the round. Sad day I am afraid for Calzaghe fans. Lacy had the nerve to say that he would be "explosive". If that meant doing a great impression of Zab Judah againt Tyszu , then he was "explosive" with those dance steps.

I'm a Lacy fan and was very disappointed as Jeff would have KOed a guy like this early a few years back. Jeff showed many flaws in his game and all but abandoned the jab after the first couple rounds. He'd better take this as a wake up call or there are defeats ahead against the top guys like Taylor, Froch and Kessler.

It was really close...I scored it last night on FightJudge.com and my scorecard was a draw too. Here's the majority scorecard:

As much as I like Jeff Lacy, dude needs to give it up. If Mendoza was able to hurt him with those right hands, I don't want to see what a Jermain Taylor right hand will do to him.

Lacy was always finished. He fought like Lacy of old yesterday except mendoza chose to fight back with just as much power and Lacy couldn't take it. one of the most overrated fighters of this generation.

A more fluid puncher would have finished Lacy. He was taking a lot of overhand rights and uppercuts throughout the entire bout.
