the former. i don't care how he does with oscar as long as he doesn't get hurt and gets paid.

his legacy is already solid. he doesn't need to win against delahoya.

Pacman is going to retire by the end of next year.
If DLH KOs him (if the fight pushes through), then he might retire
      earlier.

The $20M he will earn is more than enough for his future plans.
They won't take the fight unless they are confident that Pacman
can manage to at least survive the fight without serious damage.

But do you think unifying the 4 lightweight belts would be more significant than beating a jr middleweight champ?

If Pacquiao pulled this off, would this be a bigger upset than Douglas over Tyson?

            yes.

            he's lineal at 112 , 126 and 130.

he doesn't even need to unify 135. just be lineal at 135 (casa or juanma) and beat hatton who's lineal at 140.

that's better than oscar or floyd......

                no.

even if he wins it's not that big a deal really. boxing history/legacy wise. so i don't really care if he wins. oscar doesn't even have a belt does he? plust oscar is past prime.

duran beating barkley this is not.

the money is worth it for manny though and i wouldn't fault him for taking this fight.

De La Hoya knocks the Pacman into la la land.

You never answered the question homie. Its no big secret he plans on retiring soon. I would rather see him retire dec 7th if it meant a generation defining moment in boxing history. If Pac somehow knocked out oscar it would be as immortalized as Ali's ko of Liston. Better to see that than see him fight 3x in 09 but none against any1 significant be4 he retires
