since he'll end up fighting for the lt heavywieght title, how about making rematches w/ antonio tarver and glen johnson????

they are still around, AND just as old as jones is...............

plus, u gotta be kidding me if you think him beating joe calzaghe will erase the memories of him being put to sleep 2 fights in a row......the only way that happens, is if he avenges both of those defeats.

yea, but if you wanna call yourself the greatest, or the best, or anything to signify you are #1, hard to do it, if somebody can say "i beat you, and you never beat me."

if iverson beats you 15-2, then you beat lebron 15-13, do you seriously think ppl are gonna forget that iverson ass-whoopin?

of cours ei want him to avenge his loss to johnson... tarver not so much... he won the first fight, he can technically say i did beat tarver... i would like him to beat glen johnson... but beating joe calzaghe would mean even more...

if i had to choose right now... have a loss to glen johnson, and beat joe calzaghe...

or have a loss to glen johnson, and a win over glen johnson...

id take the joe calzaghe win.... it just has more meaning, joe is a much more formidable opponent legacy speaking wise..

after joe... he should look to glen... i think the biggest problem... theres just no $$$ in a glen johnson fight.

If he beats Calzaghe and Hopkins upsets Pavlik, there's one more fight for Roy, and it's huge.

Otherwise, unless he is serious about heavyweight, he should call it a career. I agree with ree****yaluss that there's not enough $$$ in a Glen Johnson rematch, and hopefully not a fourth fight with Tarver, even if he beats Dawson.

                yea but...............................

at this point jones has made plenty money in his career, this SHOULD be about LEGACY.

i dont care if roy beats calzaghe, cuz even tho he's undefeated (technically), i think the jury is still out on calzaghe. i dont think he's as good as his record states, and IMO many other ppl agree. in fact, i am picking roy to beat calzaghe...........

roy did win the first fight with tarver, but that fight was so close, and a lot of ppl thought tarver actually won. then he ko's him in the rematch, and dominates and almost ko's him again in the third fight.............nuff said.
                and glen johnson.........................

if roy is fighting for $$$ and nothing more, he's fighting for the WRONG reasons at this stage in his career, and he should retire.

there's been a lot of talk about gimmicks, and roy moving up to HW and fighting peter, when there's two ppl standing at lt HW that cleaned his clock screams gimmick to me. if his fans think that as eradicating his two KO losses, then more pwer to them. but if roy wants to make noise by beating a HW champion, he should fight the "real" HW champion. i am much more inclined to look past tarver and johnson if roy beat wvladimir than if he beat peter, and since that aint gonna happen, he should fight tarver and johnson, THEN retire. but that's if we're talking about legacy and not $$$.

if roy is fighting for money and nothing more, than WHY, WHY does he want the SMW titles and the LHW titles on the line for this fight?

WHy pay more sanctioning fees if you dont care about legacy and just money? WHY?

                  because it is about legacy.

The fantasy talk continues without any sign of stopping.
                    One pure comedy moment....

                    Hilarious and blatant nuthuggery.

Sell more tickets equals more money.
Sanctioning fees are a small percent of a greater gain.
                      Come on money man.
                      Think about it.
The sanctioning fees is pretty ****ing desperate to cling to.
