More amateur journalism from Mark Vester.
Sorry Pump, but the discrepancy about whether it was the pads or a heavybag doesn't suggest Calzaghe is faking it.
The title of his next article should be prefaced with "lmao" and signed with "pwn." That's the level we're dealing with here.

Joe's injuries are always real. He has very fragile hands, and does not take care of them properly.
If you watch him training, he does everything possible to endanger his hands. He improperly wraps them himself, he uses old worn out gloves, he throws with "unique" technique.
I am surprised that neither he, nor his father has caught on to the obvious reasons for his repetitive hand injuries. Its quite obvious.

I don't think it's whether or not he is hurt, but whether or not Warren's lawsuit halting the fight made them step back and the injury was sold as an excuse. Almost nobody believes the injury story in the UK. They all think it's the lawsuit filed by Warren
But knowing Joe i would say
"His hurt his ****in hands again"
