Just re-watched Cotto-Judah tonight...

I just don't get how people think Margarito is some kind of undestructable machine. I'll admit the guy has an excellent chin and good stamina, but no man is undestructable. I could see if he had beaten some guys in the past year that were really good, but he lost to Paul Williams a little over a year ago and his only two wins since then have been against Golden Schlong and Cintron.

He'll be pumped up for his big chance, but Cotto is just better than him in practically everyway and has more variety if things don't work. While Marg only has one style and one style only. I know Marg doesn't have regard for human life, but by the end of the fight he better have regard for his defense because he's gonna be getting hit a lot. I feel Cotto has the will to survive the pressure and he fights smart. I think those two things are gonna get him the victory.

You see this is where I get pissed off when they bring up the Williams loss, yes Tony lost against Williams, plain and simple, but he wasn't beaten or outclassed, he got outhustled, the fight was pretty close. Tony is not indestructible but neither is Cotto, and Cotto has shown more vulnerabilities in that department, something Rito can take advantage of. Mosley got hit a lot by Cotto yet he didn't go down, or appeared close to being KO'ed, and Shane has a pretty tough chin as well. Tony will get hit a lot, there is no doubt about that, but Tony is going to connect back.

Mosley > Tony
Williams beat Tony at his own game and out punched him.
Tony is too one dimensional to be a threat to Cotto.
Multi-dimensional fighters like Mosley are tougher challenges.
Cotto is the closest thing to be indestructible in boxing

Cotto is superior. He has a better arsenal of punches, a better defence. Margaritos tough, he's big, he's gonna be in his face but that's not a great place to be, I think he gets carved up a bit with body punches and you can only have so much wherewithall, that has to affect you at some point versus Cotto.

With regard to the Judah fight, I admired Cottos constant aggression, workrate, Zab really was not in top shape coming off of a lay off, he outsped Miguel early and that big uppercut worked, but he got grinded out, Zab should've won that fight he had the skill, just got hit too much and didn't throw enough.

You can't look at that fight as Tony's blueprint to winning. Zab is a hell of a lot quicker and hits hard for his frame. Also, Cotto took those shots and he was indeed stunned, but he kept coming back and totally discouraged Zab. That fight alone proved his chin is in tact at WW.

But also keep in mind he's had 2 other fights since then and has shown different styles none of us knew he had. Even me being a Cotto fan I can tell you what I think and what he should do, but he might come in with some next **** and totally catch us off guard like he did against Mosley when he became the boxer.

I think Cotto will be ready for what Margarito brings. Though Tony hits hard, people forget how hard Cotto hits too.

I wouldn't call this fight a blueprint, none at all, it was a methodical beatdown by Cotto against Zab, he destroyed him. What I was trying to say is that Zab didn't know how to fight Cotto, when he had him hurt he didn't go for the kill, and one of Miguel's better attributes is when he goes into hurt mode, he's very vulnerable but he digs deep and fires back rather just stand there, against a guy like Margarito if Cotto gets hurt Margarito won't just stand there like Judah, he's going to throw 100 punches until Cotto is down, that is why I know Tony will beat him.

Torres tried this to a certain extent, he traded with Cotto and tried to finish him off the times he had him on ***** street without luck, but even at 140 Cotto was stronger than Torres and was able to dig deep and get out of those situations.

In regards to Mosley, it was evident that after the 9th round, Mosley changed strategies and became the aggressor, he connected some sick hooks and right hands against Cotto and made him think twice before trading with Shane like he was earlier on the fight, I think as soon as Miguel feels his opponent is the aggressor he goes into boxer/puncher mode, all it takes is for Tony to put pressure and throw hard to knock him out.
