Exactly! This fight will not even happen, not for at least another year anyway.

What promoter will shell out millions to two camps who are both unknown? So many like the thread starter fail to see the big picture.

There is no money in this fight, but with the risk, both Abraham and Pavlik will want to get paid big money!! I know if I had the money to promote it, I would not want to lose my shirt on that fight.

Dean don't you think the 2 best middles in the world won't account to a mega fight? It don't make sense . You hear what im saying. Most of Europe would be watching?

An AA fight in Germany is like a CALZ fight in the UK, talking out of your ass again

Watching on what though? Free TV? This fight needs to brew man. Arum has Pavlik chasing Hopkins and Calzaghe in the hopes of exposing him to more fans and to make some money. Only boxing purists know who Pavlik and Abraham are.

If you won 20 million in the lottery, would you shell it all out to make this fight happen right now? Risky venture isn't it?

In the States, Pavlik still is not well known. Abraham is not known at all. Both have very tiny fanbases over here.

In Germany you might be able to pull it off, but I guarantee, Pavlik will never fight there as it has somewhat of a reputation of being corrupted.

I blame a lot of this on HBO. They want the big fights, but they ignored Abraham on his first fight over here.

If they had guts, they would air Abraham's next defense. He has to be exposed, to at least their audience. I would like to see Abraham and Pavlik fight on the same card, as that would build real interest in the fight, like they did with Cotto and Margarito. That is how the big fights get made.

I think we will see this fight by late Spring or Summer if they build it right. It will also take some concessions from both camps money wise to make it happen. I mean pavlik is getting 2.5 mil for fighting the Lockett's of the world now (how I have no ****ing idea, blame it on HBO). Pavlik's camp would want at least 5 mil to fight Arthur, and I expect Arthur's camp to want the same.

It can happen, but it will not be happening in January. Way too soon and nobody knows who the **** they are.

I stopped reading after you "claimed" HBO didn't show interest in AA. HBO showed interest in his first fight and his mandy against Marquez. Showtime just happened to pay more and that just because HBO alrdy has big fights, their budget is tight. But BOTH HBO and Showtime are very interested in him.

Well lets see if they show his next fight. That will be telltale. I hope they do. Abraham's style would be popular in the States. Pure puncher. Probably one of the biggest P4P punchers in the game IMO. He just need an audience over here.
