i think forbes is a threat.
after bertos last performance against miguel rodriquez to some his lack of defense and fighting in flashes was unsettling.
i dont think that style is going to fly against a top ten.

I thought he showed improved defense against Rodriguez, it looked tighter and he was slipped shots better.

Forbes isn't powerful enough to get Berto's respect and he's too small to out muscle Berto, I think Berto even has the speed advantage, the only thing Forbes has going for him in this fight is his experience.

That can be the only reason surely.

And the fact that he is very difficult to KO.

IMO opinion Collazo would turn him over right now but I have to say im getting really bored of this kid already, unless he actually proves himself and gets the bigger fights he will fade into mediocrity.

I agree, I want to see him against a legit top 10 welterweight.

            Spoken like a true hater

What makes Berto boring??? His dazzling combinations?? His 19 ko's in his 22 victories?

Berto is a beast, you could say he's fighting bellow his level you could even say Lou Dibella needs to put him in with a top fighter but how can you say he's boring and has the potential to fade into mediocrity???

Berto would fight anybody, if anything people should be pissed at Dibella

Read the rest of my posts friend, Im no Hater.
However i do totally accept your comments that i should probably direct my frustration at Dibella rather than the fighter himself. If anything though, unless Dibella gets him the fights that his talents (possibly) deserve he WILL fade into mediocrity.
N/B i say possibly in regard to his talents as its easier to be flashy and get 19 out of 22 KO's against lower level opposition.
I am all for exciting fighters but would prefer them stepped up in competition BEFORE they get a belt.

He will step up soon enough, I also want to see him fight some of the better fighters in the top 10. I just don't get why people get on his case when he's smashing people in the ring, boxing is at a stage where we need future superstars. If Berto is brought up in the right way he could potentially become huge! you have to remember Dibella has guided Jermain Taylor and Paul Malignaggi, he knows what he's doing with Berto.

Like I said earlier he got the belt because Floyd retired and the WBC pretty much handed it to him, did you expect for him to turn down a title fight against easy pickings? Luis Collazo is currently No.1 ranked welter by the WBC, I expect that to be Berto's next fight after Forbes.

Berto will be a guest host on FNF in 2 weeks, I'm sure he will talk about his future and Brian Kenny will grill him about fighting the top fighters.

That will be an interesting interview i think,
I would love to see him face Collazo, whilst i did not really expect to see him turn down easy pickings but it does frustrate me that fighters take easy money rather than fights which could define them, but hey who am i to cuss them, im skint!!!! LOL

I like that fact that Collazo is ranked #1 by the WBC, but isnt Jackson Osei Bonsu going to fight in a WBC eliminator against Jan Zaveck or somebody?

Im not sure, just think Ive read about that. I dont really know anything about Bonsu though.
