I said this fight would happen after the first Taylor fight and that Hop would beat him with lateral movement, after seeing Hop get tired in his last fight not sure who wins.

Winky didnt price himself out of anything, they were trying to lowball him with $800,000.

you are correct, but like Joe Calzaghe, he will win on being more active. He will get countered all night but will win because he will throw more punches.... Like Joe Calzaghe's last 4 fights.... he hasn't really "BEAT" (besides Lacy) anyone in the last few years. Just simply throws more punches to outpoint them..... but hey that's boxing right... anyway I think PAV would win. I like both and i don't want to see this fight.. will nothing for either of them but just give haters more of a reason to try and think of something to say...

Kelly is tailor made for hopkins, hopkins performs best when in with pressure fighters I think hop will be able to exploit all kellys weakneses in this fight if his skills aren't shot and pick him apart much like he did trinindad, a win can serve to erase the stigma associated with those losses hopkins suffered and solidify hopkins legendary status by soundly defeating the highly touted, recognized best MW of his era, kelly pavlik.
              you have a point....

I love Pac and Pav to death as fighters. But I think in order to satisfy the public, Pac has to fight Valero, and Pav has to fight Abraham. I would not have any criticisms of either guy if they fought these guys. I would've loved for Floyd to have fought Cotto, but when you take a man's title away, it makes it hard to make fights like that. Floyd imo has had no clear number 2 contender to face, but he will after Cotto-Margs fight. The politics of boxing re getting a bit ridiculous because they are cutting the known quanity out of the equation of boxing. The Abraham's, the Valero's, many Euro fighters and fighters that we know nothing about. American standards are not how boxing should hold/measure who is and who isn't either worthy, risky or relevant. This is why we get these kinds of fights nobody wants to see.

                    ******************************

being hurt, and being tired are to completely diffeent things. i cant remember the last seeing hopkins hurt, let alone on the verge of being ko'ed.

he's a defensive specialist. guys like hopkins and winky wright, and floyd mayweather DONT get knocked out, and his fights are so boring, becuz he fights in way that wont ALLow for a ko. u never see guys like that in uncontrollable or unnecessary exchanges. and smartly or not, they probably abandon more of their offense in favor of being defensive.

if hopkins loses, it'll be on points, becuz he's unable to be as "active" as pavlik. no more, no less.

even then, it still wont be clear cut, pavlik will win a disputed decision, or a split one. and yea, he may have more power than calzaghe, but lets no forget, hopkins will come into the fight as the bigger man, and pavlik is nowhere near as fast as calzaghe either. actually hopkins has a greater chance to win this one than he did the calzaghe fight, which i thought was a lock.........

IMO, the punches you don't see coming can hurt you just as much as your typical power shot. difference here is, hopkins will "see" pavlik's shots coming, it just depends on whether or not he'll have enough in the tank to fight the whole fight...........
