This thing with Pavlik fighting Williams, Mora, now Hopkins is getting ridiculous really.

Hopkins is old and boring, nope don't want to see that. [ESPECIALLY ON PPV, wtf?]

Mora has a mandatory rematch, and mandatory defense, where the hell did those reports come from?

I actually want to see Williams vs Pavlik its more interesting than the rest. but it seems to me like Pavlik is slated to fight the whole world this comming fall.

I really don't see how this does PPV Numbers, I know HBO are trying to milk their Pavlik shaped Cash Cow but come one, there's gotta be minimal interest in seeing this fight. I'd actually rather see Pavlik fight Paul Williams. Even though it won't personally effect me as we don't really have boxing ppv's in the UK anyway unless it involves Hatton but still come on, I can't see Hopkins beating Pavlik as i'm pretty sure he's not gonna look any better than he did against J.Cal

It appears negotiations for a fight with WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams have hit a snag, and now there are serious talks to match WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik against former light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins on October 18 in Atlantic City. if hopkins loses, it will be based solely on an inability to match pavlik's intensity. u guys talk about hopkins like he's completely over the hill.....while he's no offensive wiz anymore, he still defensively tops in the game.

pavlik doesn't throw 1000 punches a round, so this fight will be a lot slower paced than the calzaghe fight (which hopkins won), and pavlik can be outboxed-ass he was in the second fight with JT, which i think he actually lost.

Hopkins was running on E before he took 5 minutes to get a blow against The Blow. And Calzaghe barely landed anything significant. Pavlik will land more and it'll hurt.

It is hard to believe Hopkins getting KOed. But he slowed down a hell of a lot in the Calzaghe fight after a few rounds. Kelly isn't as wild as Joe and attacks at a controlled pace. If he can't get the KO he gets the decision easily.
