Actually, he was already too big for the division. The plan WAS for him to fight the REAL champs at the division but he was dropped twice by no-hopers and from then on he was moved a little more gingerly.

But keep harping on that. Hey, I would too if I had nothing else to say, and my facts were proven false and I can't debate the other divisions.

Of course he could. There is no way that Roy was on the same level as B-Hop then, Hopkins hadn't had the time to learn his trade. Also, five fights is quite a lot really. The difference between a fighter that's 15-0 and 20-0 can be quite considerable, in British terms it could be the difference between being British champion and European or even world (although over here it's normally the WBZ version lol) champion. It was also 2 years later. Not only that but B-Hop didn't fight top tier fighters until years later. The thing is, we're not saying that Roy didn't have skills because B-Hop was green when he fought him, we're just saying that if that's your best win it's really not as good as it looks on paper. Surely you can't disagree with that?

Hahaha, I am loving watching Ree**** and IMDAZED piss all over everyone else in this thread.

Something i have been noticing around here of late...people who try to attack Roy's career in debates get their ass handed to them.

I wonder why the **** that would be now?

The thing that annoys me is that everyone who says that B-Hop was too green for Roy to be given credit for that fight are just ****ing parroting off other people. If you go and watch the fight you can appreciate that was a top class victory for Roy against a very good Hopkins. The same goes for the Toney fight. Sure, James may have been a little weight affected but he was for every fight. If anybody can sit through that fight and tell me that Roy does not whoop any version of Toney then they are just a biased Roy hater.

It pains you to say but you even admited De La Hoya has fought the much better fighters. Yes or No?

Its obvious you love deeply RJJ and nothing will change your mind. De La Hoya has one of the best resumes ever and your going on about things that RJJ is much more guilty of.

You keep talking about these other divisions, well you started on 130. Everything I have said was "proven false" but now you agree on 130. Also before "De La Hoya was SLAMMED for his competiton before the Ike Quartey". Then you also back tracked on that.

As far as the other divisons go, im not going to list all the great fighters he fought. "Because you already know" Yet cant seem to grasp the idea.

Firstly, IMDAZED stated from the start Oscar has fought the better fighters.

Secondly, go learn what a ****n resume is. You actually have to beat the fighters to have them on your resume. That means Floyd, Mosley, Hopkins, Tito are not on Oscar's resume. I am a big Oscar fan but if you think he has one of the best resumes ever then you know even less about boxing than you have conveyed in this thread.

I already said he did but it pains you that RJJ is the better fighter. So much so, that you don't realize I said Oscar fought better opposition on FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS.

Its obvious you love deeply RJJ and nothing will change your mind. De La Hoya has one of the best resumes ever and your going on about things that RJJ is much more guilty of.
Translation: I have to resort to this because I've been ****ed over in this thread. Roy Jones took a title from Bryant Brannon. LMAO!

Never backtracked. But anyone who reads this thread can see that. No need to defend myself.

Yeah, he fought a few greats. Lost for the most part too.

                Good day.

Exactly the point of the thread. You say he fought the much better fighters then you add BUT. Then try to discredit De La Hoya anyway you can.

Yes you did back track your self in this thread. Its okay tho, I know your going hard. On two different situations.

Your right RJJ didnt win a title from Bryant Brannon, he defended it. LOL
Off the top of my head I got that wrong. Who would have done that, with all the superstars he was fighting back then.

                    Stop making sense!

It's all good, man. The more we can debate, the more those who read the threads can judge facts and truths for themselves and the more these clowns look like...well, clowns.

The Thread starter made it clear that the question was who fought the better opposition. Oscar by a mile.

Their she is I knew it was only a matter of time before the RJJ ****roach came out in you. You go from :

To this. Still all along talking about the same thing.
