    • Some people can have a habit of using the terminology too loose.
But if a person use the term ***** Street err time they see a fighter shaken up, don't necessarily make it true.
People can go overboard and exaggerate. If I say to you --- "damn, Beyonce got the finest ass in the history of fine asses" --- you might think I was going overboard?
Unless you get some very unusual circumstance go in your favor, ***** Street is a place you don't come back from in a fight.

    • There's another category for Floyd-Corley --- Stunned.
If you watch when Floyd get caught, his legs still there, his awareness still there, he have the wherewithal to get into his shell and ride in the whirlwind, he isn't holding on.
But withoutthee88 was wrong. Cotto wasn't on ***** Street agin Corley --- he was Hurt.
You see he shaken, you see he holding on, you see he ain't good, but he still alive in there.
If you wanted to stretch it, you could say he staggering in the direction of ***** Street...but he ain't there.

    • Tszyu-Judah maybe isn't the best example of a ***** Street situation, in the sense that we don't know he couldn't recover if he would've taken a few seconds before getting back up.
I just used it because it's a famous example of a fighter being on what people call ***** Street.
A better, more recent example would be N. Donaire-Darchinyan.

    • Pay no mind to withoutthee88's bitchass ragging you about you being a newer fan to the sport.
      He an idiot.

Pretty damn comprehensive post. It's a good one too.

You broke it down very well, and I agree with all of that.

Stunned is the right word for Floyd-Corley. Cotto was hurt against Corley IMO, because he wasn't defending himself very well after the hook landed...

I don't know about Darchinyan and ***** street. I would be more inclined to call that dead.

Guys who would have dusted Tszyu:

              mayweather
              delahoya
              chavez
              duran
              mosley
              whitaker
              etc....

              * dusted = knocked out and/or took a lopsided decision.

                Tszyu vs. Chavez

Now there is a matchup that I wish would have happened...

                Oh wait!

No, I get what you mean though. Chavez was past it, and considering Vince Phillips pressured Tszyu into a loss, Chavez would probably have beat Tszyu in his prime.

                  mayweather - maybe by ud
                  delahoya - 50/50 to me
chavez - 50/50 as well , if he swarms kostya he takes away kostya's power. chavez is a greater fighter than kostya but head to head kostya can be competitive.
mosley - i don't know...... i want others input on this one. mosley was incredible at 135.
whitaker - will give kostya more problems than anybody.

                    tsk tsk tsk

why don't you start a floyd greatness thread?

this is about kostya and from the 1st page on everything is about mayweather.

you mayweather guys are too touchy. i don't even hate the guy i just don't think he's as great as you guys think he is.

it's a matter of opinion. now leave kostya's thread and go to a cotto thread. those guys hate you people more.

take away mayweather's name and those are the guys that i think would dust floyd jr. too.

                      ha ha ha lol

floyd and kostya does have something in common afterall.
