Every Fighter has low quality opponents in their record. Every quality fighter is guilty of it. Why Joe is being singled out I have no idea. At least they picked on Jones also in the article.

Yes, but some fighters do it while they are prospects and between hard fights (or losses) when they need a break. Others do it to grow up records which don't match their real ability. Big big difference there.

On the second comment, not all fighters do that, most the fact most welterweights don't do that and the fact the division is considered hot are not a coincidence. The last fighter to attempt such a feat was Margarito and he has quited that already. Paul Williams will reportedly moving up two classes to face the middleweight champion, Kelly Pavlik. That's no joke, unfortunately for Williams. He was NOT treated fairly. Not by the networks or the orgs. I'll stop here, don't wanna wonder too much.

I see your point. I also think that Joe sometimes gets the ****ty end of the stick because many of the so called "bums" he fought were European and not known on our side of the pond.

I am not making excuses for him, but since he stepped it up a couple years ago he has proved his worth. I know I wished he was fighting Pavlik, but I am not going to hold it against him for not fighting him. Pavlik is 10 years his junior and a big risk.

My issue with him not fighting Pavlik is their excuse as to why. They basically called Pavlik unworthy which was complete bull**** to me. It was a cheap shot and uncalled for.
