At this point...
A draw against a guy who lost twice to Kelly Pavlik
A win over a blown up welterweight
And a loss to Hopkins at a weight too big for Wright (who just lost to Calzaghe)
just isn't very impressive... so I can understand him being bottom 10, or even off the list, because of inactivity and what has happened to his opposition in their recent fights.
But... back then...
A contested draw to the undisputed, undefeated middleweight champion
A dominating performance over a guy who just got robbed against Vernon Forrest
And a close decision loss to the lineal LHW champ when Wright had no business at the weight.
Seems like it is more deserving of a higher ranking, considering Wright was #3 when he lost.
Yeah, it has ended up becoming okay, but I was a little shocked when those new P4P rankings came out the week after Hopkins-Wright.
