Oh no......now the old guy is gonna act like the veteran boxing fan I can't compete with on boxing knowledge.
Being older doesn't make you right.
Just for the record, how old are you?Comment

You showed me disrespect by saying I stole "talking points". That's bull****. And that's typical of you. If you don't think I'm right then debate it, don't pull that cheap shot.
And just for the record, none of your ****ing business.Comment

Then how can you claim to know anything before I learned spell?
I've followed boxing for a long, long time and those that I missed watched on boxing tapes.
I wasn't disrespecting, it's just what alot of people say.Comment

The only fighter who I would pick without hesitation over Wlad would be Lewis. I think Lewis jab and power would have stopped Wlad tonight. I would not pick Bowe over Wlad. I think Wlad stops him. Holyfield would have problems with the jab like you said. It would be a good fight. But I still wouldnt pick Wlad to beat him. Tyson in the 90's I have doubts about. He was just too short. He(Tyson) would have problems with Wlad and that Tyson would not be my pick. Ruddock would have been a bad match for Wlad though but overall I think Wlad would have done well.Comment

Maybe a lot of people are saying it because it is true? We don't agree much, but you do know about boxing. I don't really want to get into a pissing match about it. Maybe you could pick your words more tactfully in the future though. Nobody likes to be accused of not having original thoughts or plagiarism.Comment

I would agree that out of all the 1990's fighters Lewis would be the most likely to beat Klitschko. He always did well against big guys and he matches up very well against Wlad. Of course prime Holyfield was a tough fight for anyone, just like Tyson was always a threat to anyone in the first five rounds.Comment

Lets put is like this. How big of a compliment is it to say that Wlad has one of the best jabs in heavyweight history when there weren't that many great jabbers. It's not like there were many to pick from.Maybe a lot of people are saying it because it is true? We don't agree much, but you do know about boxing. The few that were great all had better jabs......Ali, Holmes etc,. And lately his jab was garbage, not because of who he is fighting but because of what side he moves to. Unstead of moving to his left throwing a stiff jab, he moves to the right pawing with his jab Hopkins-esque.
He is a sloppy fighter with no inside game whatsoever. You could say he is one-dimensional. With that said, his dimension is effective in todays crappy HW division and we even saw him teaste Ko defeat against some ordinary fighters in the process.Last edited by Vladimir303; 07-12-2008, 08:19 PM.Comment

Ali and Holmes certainly had faster jabs, but not harder jabs. Louis, Liston, Foreman, and Lewis are more comparable. IMO the reason Klitschko's jab has been less effective is because he has fought two awkward lefties in a row. His jab was reasonably sharp against Byrd, Brewster, and Brock. When he fights Povetkin his jab should be a major factor. If it isn't, then you may be on to something.Comment
