Thompson did better than I thought he'd do.

Here's a man that didn't touch a glove until he was 27, slow as hell, with no power - and he still managed to put some leather on Wlad.

Thompson surprised me with the early body shots also....nicely done.

Based on tonights performance, I'm thoroughly convinced of one thing: Any champ from the 90's woulda smoked Wlad's ass. (Take your pick - Old Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield, Morrison...etc).

I just don't see how Wlad would overcome the POWER and SPEED of some of the champs from the 90's...both of which Thompson is missing - IN ABUNDANCE..

Lots of running by Wlad also....

Nonetheless (in closing), cong**** to wlad on winning the bout by KO.

He might have beat old Foreman. Foreman was outboxed by Tommy Morrison so Wlad deffinatly could, However if Foreman landed that might change.

I dunno about the others. And i don't feel like arguing anyway.

Discounting the WBO champions? You know, Michael Bentt, Herbie Hide, Henry Akinwande... Don't forget about the WBA 'champ' Bruce Seldon.

Lennox and Holyfield were definitely better, but they too fought some low energy, two sandbags leaning on each other type fights, including against each other. It is the way of the HWs and I think Wlad gets far too hard a time.

The man is as one-dimensional as they come. It happens to be a great dimension in today's heavyweight division since all the heavyweights are garbage. Either way we got to see him get knocked out twice by average fighters in the past.

He can't fight worth a **** on the inside. No inside game at all.

lennox and holy would have stopped wlad. a prime tyson would have steamrolled him. wlad is a solid fighter with a bread and butter one two, some good power but a robotic and awkward style.

Wlad would have whipped Tommy Morrison's ass all over the ring.

Tyson? 50/50. Only if he landed a lucky shot on Wlad.

                Holy? Haha well duh

Lewis? Not sure about that either.

Naah, I say Holyfield is the only lock as a 90's fighter to beat Wlad.

Holyfield struggled with tall fighters who had a good jab. I wouldn't call him a lock.
