He quit more then anything else. CLEARLY gave up at round 9. Props to klitschko to making quit though.

I have my su****ions about how legit the KO was though, as much flack as i may recieve for it. Clearly a noticable delay from when the punch lands, and when Thompson is suddenly "out cold."

Also, Thompsons knees were bending as if to brace the fall, when was the last time a guy who got knocked out cold braced for the fall. And he clearly had second thoughts while on the canvas, ans sky rocked up. lol jk

I agree with the last part. It did look like the KO wasn't legit because of the delay and the look on Thompson's face right after. Good job for Klitschko to have ended it without it going to the score cards. Thompson was landing more shots and connecting with more but they were not as significant as Wlads. Thompson looked like he wanted to tire out Wlad but it didn't work much. It wasn't as impressive for Wlad but he still got the job done and its the reason he got the win...

I wouldn't bet on Peter beating Klitschko, but i would pick Chagaev and Valaev to beat him. They are consistant in their pressure and have enough pop in their punches. The commentators stated that Thomspon landed the most shots that anyone has landed on Klitschko. Thomspson looked like a pretty decent fighter, but he looked like my grampa in there and he was the huge favorite to lose anyway.

Don't agree much with MT77 at all but how can you critisize Wlad. Sure that tackle wasn't good to see but Calzaghe's antics can be just as worse (with Hopkins). Appreciate the win bud, it might not be impressive but you can't look away from the fact the he won by KO and the intensity he did it in was in only one round... It just added to his resume and that can't hurt him...It only makes him a more better HW champion...
