Seems to me there's a guy with average power, below average skill (for a top professional), above average workrate and above average height and reach fighting a guy with average power, average skill, above average workrate and average height and reach the first guy wins. When that same guy moves up in weight it changes the dynamic.

Now he's below average power, below average skill, above average workrate and average height and reach fighting a guy with above average power, average skill, above average workrate and average height and weight.

In short he's giving up his advantages. Williams cannot compete at Middleweight.

Furthermore there is another fight that Pavlik should be considering and that is against Arthur Abraham.

PS I don't know who it was who was suggesting that "Pavlik looked bad when Taylor outboxed him" bear in mind that Williams has virtually no amateur experience and is really not the most skilled of fighters.

You're a hypocrit. You were the one saying Pac had unfinished buisness at 130 so he shouldn't be fighting at 135 till he proved himself against Valero. You also said Pavlik had unfinished buisness at 160 when he challenged Calzaghe, and needed to fight Abraham. doesn't Williams have unfinished buisness at 147? Why the double standard?
Lol, I know you won't answer. You never do when you've been bagged.

First of all, he's moving up to fight Kelly Pavlik, not David Diaz. And not 5lbs either.

Second, the only reason why he's doing something so maniacal is because he can't get fights at 147. Period. Everyone is either tied up (and won't be looking at him when they aren't) or ignoring his calls. Come on, Williams earned his stripes by fighting the other guy no one wanted to. So what's his unfinished business?

It doesn't bother me a bit that he's moving up. I was pointing out another posters hypocrisy and asking for an explanation. But if you want to get down to the nitty gritty.....Williams is 2-1 as a title holder in a division stacked with talent. He's fought Margarito and Quintana. There are plenty of worthy challengers left in the division.
That said, if he wants to move up, thats his buisness. But quit with the BS that nobody will be looking to him when they're not tied up. If he couldn't get fights he would have never fought Margs or got the Quintana rematch.
As far as the original poster I responded to.....he won't answer. I just wanted to point out the double standard.
