Pavlik isn't the bigger man by much.

Williams has 13 fights at middleweight already, and Pavlik started of as a light-middleweight.

    Pavlik is 6ft 2, Williams is 6ft 1

Pavlik's reach is 75 inches, Williams reach is 82 inches!

    That's 7 inches! ****in' LOL!

Pavlik might be the bigger puncher but he is not the bigger man!

Promoter Bob Arum withdrew an offer he made to Sergio Mora to challenge middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik in the fall.

"At 6-foot-1, Williams (34-1, 25 KOs) has struggled to make 147 pounds and might be better suited to fight at middleweight. He would be similar in size to the 6-2 Pavlik."
You are quoting what the "writer" said, not the fighter, promoter or his manager. A guy who comes in two-pounds under the limit is not struggling.

Williams will get KO'd and he'll wonder why he got talked into quitting the WW division and giving up his title.

Plus imagine the difference in the weight that the two men will put back on over night. It's not like they're going to come in at equal weight.

This is coming from the guy who was getting his ass kicked in a fight he won by points against Margarito. When ever Margarito landed it look like Williams was going to pass out dead.

Moron should have stayed at Welterweight, if he can't barely take punches from welterweights, what makes his idiotic brain think he can take a punch from a fast hard hitter like Pavlik? Margarito isn't even part of the elite, he is just a tough boxer while Pavlik is an elite.

Im glad that Williams realized that he is supposed to be at a different weight. What he doesnt realize is that his size advantage will not transition into the MW division.....

              Pavlik by murderous KO.

if the writer said it, the promoter and team went for the fight aganst a 160lbs fighter, than the they all agree he would be better suit at middleweight. why else go up if he's a champ at welterweight?. probably money.

Williams doesn't stand a chance against the avalanche.

by the same token Haye was not struggling to make cruiserweight.

                      Bad Move.....

Just because you can make the weight doesn't mean you can fight with the big boys......Margarito put some really good hard shots on Williams, and if he thinks those were hard shots wait until Pavlik drops those bombs on him.......Pavlik will absolutely destroy Williams' body and then take him out with lethal combinations.... Williams should have just hung around and wait to see which of the WW would eventually have to fight him.....I"m sure Berto wants nothing to do with him, but guys like Cotto, Margarito and heck my boy Clottey would have no problem in signing a contract to get it on....As far as I'm concerned, Williams is just chasing money and it may hurt him more than he knows.......Arum & Pavlik will be laughing all the way to the bank on this fight....by the way isn't there a top ten list of actual middeleweights who are line for title shots, why is it that Williams' whose a WW allowed just decide hey I'm gonna fight the middleweight champion of the world...and get that wish granted, BOXING NEEDS REGULATION......

And shame on Winky Wright for being such an ahole when it comes to negotiating.....looks like we'll never see him fight, heck maybe its a good thing!!! Anyway you gotta give it to Williams for having the balls to take this fight, only way he can win is to outbox/out busy Pavlik all night, but I truly feel Pavlik will solve the puzzle and end it in spectualr KNOCKOUT fashion
