It's not about the weight. It's about the mistakes Williams makes at 147 that he wont be able to get away with at 160.

        Much Respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Them are some fighting words by Paul! Man I give the guy A LOT of RESPECT... You cant hate on the guy who looks at all his options and picks the biggest name and biggest pay day, over all I think it will be a WIN-WIN for Paul. Even if he looses he can still go back down and handle business. MUCH respect to him, but Pavlik will kill this guy. Say Pavlik does get taken to school by a boxer, thats up until middle rounds when the hard shots slow him down and eventually out and KO'ed.... I give all the respect in the world and I understand why he's doing what hes doing, good on him. I hope he comes ready for war.... But I just don't see a win for him, but damn the guy has some balls...

        Look at it this way.....

You have Paul Williams calling out Kelly Pavlik and making the fight happen and then you have Joe Calzaghe, who's running scared..... lol Good on ya PUAL!!!!!!

He will walk away with more belts, and another he can walk away saying he beat another guy. I don't know really.. I just give all the respect to PW... I think this is a fight to test pavlik with a boxer... not comparing but lets say they want him in there with a lighter guy that can box and is fast or faster than him... maybe this is to test him for a Calzaghe fight.... I know I keep saying it, but I think that's what its coming down too. After Jones and Cal fight.. I think win or loose joe is going to fight Pav and this is Pav's warm up fight with a BOXER not a puncher, so in a sense both PW and PAV get something out of this fight, know what I mean???? I don't know call me crazy......

A guy with a good chin who can throw over a 1000 punches in a fight and is also a lefty with freakish long arms. This is no easy task for Pavlik. Pavlik and Williams both have their work cut out for them.

Both guys deserve props for their willingness to fight anyone in my eyes. This is a tough fight for both guys and if Williams can take pavlik's power, he has a great shot.

"At 6-foot-1, Williams (34-1, 25 KOs) has struggled to make 147 pounds and might be better suited to fight at middleweight. He would be similar in size to the 6-2 Pavlik."
