I think he can make the weight and I think he could make it easily. I think PW struggles to make weight in the WW's and would be more comfortable at middle.

Ofcourse am anticipating the fight and credit to both fighters also because i dont see what pavlik could gain from defeating Williams at this stage in time.

Gotta love Williams' confidence and willingness to take on a tough challenge. Pavlik will throw him a beating, but respect to Paul nonetheless.

Regardless of what happens it is really hard not to respect Paul Williams for doing this, this is an old school warrior who says what he means--"I'll fight anyone, anytime." Going to be interesting to see Paul Williams at MW...he might have the tools to beat Pavlik in a decision.

I don't see him winning, but I agree with the rest of what you said. Gotta love a guy willing to tackle the best.

              I hope Pavlik destroy's him.
Williams is good, and the weight will carry well on his frame, but he doesnt have the chin or power to compete.

                Got to love Paul's confidence

I really like Paul Williams, and I thought he may have given Floyd the most difficulty a welterweight because of his size and punch output.

Still, I don't see how he can win this fight.

Pavlik is just way too big and strong for him at this point of his career.

According to Top Rank's Bob Arum, a deal was reached with Dan Goossen [Williams' promoter] to stage the fight on September 27 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Goossen is going over the figures with Team Williams, but everyone involved, including Williams and trainer George Peterson, expect the fight to happen. [details]

Paul should beat Kelly pretty easily....the disparity in talent is too big for Kelly to over come....Huge mistake on Arum part for taking this fight.

What is so fishy about this? This is purely about money and respect.
