The risk for Williams is he could get KTFO. As we all know, fighters who get knocked out handle that **** differently, some come back ok others may never be the same. Look at Roy Jones for example.

In addition, it can also hurt Williams with a loss in the short run because you're only as good as your last fight is very true in this sport. A loss could possibly hurt him getting other big named fighters, at least immediately after anyways.

I see a brutal beating for Paul here.When he fought a good pressure fighter with power in Margarito he was able to use his size and reach advantage and holding when Margarito got inside to avoid punishment.With Pavlik he's fighting a guy with much more power that doesn't need to get inside because there the same size.

Obviously, Paul Williams moving up 13 pounds in weight to challenge the Middleweight Champ of the world, Kelly Pavlik is extremely close to being officially signed. I am a big fan of both fighters, but I do have to say that if Pavlik beats Williams he won't get all the credit that he should. Everyone will say oh Williams is a blown up welterweight, who got picked apart by Quintana in their first match. On the other hand, if Williams beats Pavlik, he will get a huge amount of credit, and depending on how decisive his victory is, his career will have a significant boost... Does anybody agree with this statement?
