Comparing what, if you are talking about the island, i hate to break it to you, but there is a reason why alot of puerto ricans work for the government. Let me ask you this, what happened when they shutdown for that week? Practically everyone works for the government in some capacity and the dominicans are like the mexicans who do the jobs nobody else wants to do. The rich/poor ratio out there is terrible.
