the english geezer is sayin this...

its lose lose situation for Pavlik, but Win Win for Williams, if he loses, then he lost to a undisputed best middleweight, if he wins, his up there on the pound for pound ranks!

I like this fight and I think its a good one. If Williams can carry the weight there is no reason it should not be competitive. He is 6'3" and has to boil down like crazy to make welter, so he should be able to carry 160. He is also known for having a good chin and is a hell of a lot faster then Pavlik. I really hope this fight happens.

problem is that he won't go up to 160 in pure muscle in just 2 months, and that pitty-pat punching won't stop pavlik from coming. Getting a beat down can completely ruin your career.

Yes, two months is a short amount of time so it's risky. What does Pavlik come in at on fight night? Around 170 I'm guessing? Definitely a tough ask for Paul.

Nontheless, I think this will be a competitive fight.

and if he loses, well thats just obvious
Think in economic terms. This fight should make a decent buck with little risk for Pavlik as he waits for Abraham to get his mandatory over with.

I think that Williams should wait and see what happens in the Cotto vs Margarito fight. If Margarito wins then Williams could rematch him or he could fight Cotto. Both fights would be entertaining and earn Williams a good payday.

If Cotto wins then it'll probably be Cotto vs de la Hoya, but Williams should wait to see how things turn out.
