What a bull **** fight. I don't usually go all out like that but this makes exactly no sense. Paul Williams is suppose to be on the way up and wants to make more money in the future against big names around his division, so why the hell is he fighting the undisputed middleweight champion that is far bigger than him and a power puncher and boxing skills? He is getting knocked out and there is no other possible outcome. I'm not even watching it.

With a loss, Williams is still a beltholder at welterweight. It's really a no-lose situation for him...UNLESS he cannot make 147 after going up to 160, which would seem VERY possible.

Of course, if he somehow wins, he's on top of the world and P4P top 5 just like that.

This is a good fight considering some people actually believe Williams has a chance {Adager,Burner} and williams is a huge welterweight who would most liklely fit into the shape middleweight well.It will also remove another excuse from the Calzaghe fans who will say "Calzaghe fighting Pavlik is like Williams fighting Pavlik"

Williams just wants to make some $$$$

What are the chances of the Arum putting Cotto in with Williams???

              Berto??

              Mosley??

Williams is pretty much stuck so he's looking to make some good coin, plus if he loses he lost the Middlewight king. He can always jump into the Jr Middleweight division which is wide open.

Simple, Goosen trying to bank on someone who he knows that won't last long in the spotlight

true, but to be honest i don't see any way that williams can win this fight. No hate or anything but he has been fighting in welterweights for a good while and in the mean time Pavlik has been knocking solid 160s left and right. I think this is a bad move for williams, he's gonna get dropped like nobodies business...

                    Paul Williams

What the **** is going on? it's not as if there's a shortage of fighters.

                    What about Abraham?

If he had problems with Margarito in the late rounds, then what would he do against a guy that punches a lot harder than Margarito, brings more educated pressure and is even dangerous in the earlier rounds? He is not even known as a big puncher at welterweight so his power will only dimsenish at middleweight. You need to land something big on a consistant guy like Pavlik in order to get his respect and I'm pretty sure that Miranda and Taylor hits a lot harder than him even pound for pound. We all know what is going to happen. I see what you mean, but Williams is too small to keep Pavlik off of him. Oh and Pavlik KO 4.

I'll skip this fight and read the results when I'm online again if this fight actually happens. Boxing just doesn't need this.
